Davis School District is responsible for Child Find identification and evaluation for all students suspected of having a disability residing in Davis County. This includes children (birth through 21 years of age) who are in public schools, private schools, are being home schooled, are preschoolers (birth to five years) and are in need of an evaluation for possible special education or early intervention services. Early identification and intervention may be essential to your child’s development.
If your child is having significant difficulty with vision, hearing, speech, behavior, is experiencing slow development typical for his/her age, physical development or learning difficulty, he/she may be a child with a disability that requires specialized instruction through special education. If you suspect that your school age child may have a disability, please contact your neighborhood school principal or special education department at 801-402-5169.
If your child’s age is birth to three years or three to five years, contact the Davis Early Learning Center at 801-402-5409.
Syracuse High School is proudly participating in the Keys to Success Program. This incentive based program is designed to award students for their academic improvement. Your student will have the opportunity to win various prizes throughout their high school years for their academic achievements as well as the chance to win a grand prize and vehicle at the end of each academic year. Your high school’s Keys to Success Contact Person (Mr. Hansen) will be implementing the program at your school. The Keys to Success program will run from September through May. The grand prize and final vehicle giveaway will occur between March and May.
Participation in the Ken Garff Keys to Success car giveaway is voluntary and is open to all students enrolled at the high school in 10th, 11th or 12th grade and who have submitted a signed Parental/Guardian Release Form to the high school.
The PTSA is an amazing organization that does a lot to support our students and staff. Dues to join the PTSA can be paid in myDSD. The cost is $6.00/individual or $25/family. A donation of $10 can be made to the school through myDSD.
The SHS PTSA Board is looking for parent volunteers to help throughout the school year. If you would be willing to help, please download and return the following form to the Main Office: PTSA Volunteer Form.
Yearbooks can be purchased through myDSD or in the Main Office. The cost is $50. After October 31 the price goes to $55.
We are excited to announce that we will be offering Senior Ad Space in the Titan Yearbook this school year. This allows parents to buy space in the yearbook to leave a special message for their senior student. For more information, click on the following links:
