Davis School District is responsible for Child Find identification and evaluation for all students suspected of having a disability residing in Davis County. If your child is having significant difficulty with vision, hearing, speech, behavior, is experiencing slow development typical for his/her age, physical development or learning difficulty, he/she may be a child with a disability that requires specialized instruction through special education. If you suspect that your school age child may have a disability, please contact the school Special Education rep Ross Harris or the special education department at 801-402-5169.
Syracuse High School is proudly participating in the Keys to Success Program. This incentive based program is designed to award students for doing great things in and out of the classroom. For more information, see the Keys to Success Website.
With many parents and students feeling apprehensive about returning to a traditional school experience this year, Davis School District students now have the opportunity to utilize online education as part or all of their schooling experience. Click the following link for more information: Online Education Options
Please note, if a student chooses to do any or all of their classes through the Davis Online Education, they will not be able to drop the online courses and return to SHS until each Term break.
Parking at SHS is a privilege for juniors and seniors who choose to drive to school. Unfortunately, there is a limited number of parking spaces on campus. For this reason, parking hang tags will be sold to senior and junior students only. Any sophomore caught parking on school grounds will receive a citation and may lose future parking privileges. All vehicles parked on school property must apply for a permit with the school and must properly display a current hang tag in the front windshield. The cost of a parking permit is $5.00 per semester.
NOTE: A student will not receive a new parking pass if they have any unpaid parking tickets from last year.
