Technology Checkouts, Checkups, Insurance, and more!!

Students will be responsible for their laptops during their entire enrollment at Millcreek, including summers. Laptops and charging cables are the property of Davis School District and issued for school related use while enrolled at MJH. Students are responsible for proper use and care of the devices and to return them when moving to a different school. Students need to be prepared by bringing their fully charged laptops to school daily.

Purchasing insurance is HIGHLY encouraged!

Checkouts and Checkups

Option 1*: Wednesday, August 7 from 9:00 - 11:00 am by the Tech Office (near Room 209)

Option 2: Wednesday, August 14 from 4:30 - 6:00 pm by the Tech Office (near Room 209)

If you are new to Millcreek, you need a laptop checked out to you! Students and guardians need to complete the Acceptable Use Agreement on myDSD before a laptop is issued. Is something wrong with your currently issued laptop? Maybe broken hardware (screen, keyboard, trackpad), missing charger, etc.? Please bring your laptop in for repairs/replacements before school starts. There will be fees associated with damages and missing items.

*By coming to the Option 1 date, you will have time to familiarize yourself with the laptop, make sure updates are installed, and be ready for the first day of school.

Device Insurance

The optional Device Protection Plan is available on myDSD NOW through Monday, Sept. 2 at midnight! Any missing or damaged technology items will result in a fine. It is HIGHLY encouraged to purchase the $25 protection plan to decrease the cost for you from $30-$373 for full damage costs to $15-$50 for incidental fees.

Click on the following link for Device Protection Plan details and coverage.

Log on to myDSD (mydsd.davis.k12.ut.us) with a guardian account to enroll by paying for the Device Protection Plan in the optional fees. You must enroll by September 2, 2024 to insure your device through August 2025.

...and More!!

Students: Make sure you know your username and password and are able to login to your laptop, myDSD, Canvas, and Office.com. Incoming 7th graders need to create a new password, it is no longer your Student PIN; the reset will be done on myDSD with your guardian's help.

Guardians: Log on to myDSD and make sure you know how to navigate for fees, student schedule/grades, reset student password, etc.

Students AND Guardians: Please electronically sign all disclosures, forms, and user agreements found on myDSD.

Questions or concerns, please contact Millcreek Junior High's Technology Specialist, Heather Gray, at hgray@dsdmail.net, or call the main office at 801-402-6200.
