Syracuse High School is proud to honor Pat Havens with the Syracuse High School Titan Distinguished Service Award.
Pat Havens began his lifelong service to athletics in Ohio, where he officiated basketball, baseball, and football. In recognition of his dedication and integrity, he was inducted into the Ohio High School Athletic Association Officiating Hall of Fame in 2007.
In 2009, Pat moved to Utah and quickly became a familiar face at Syracuse High School while attending his grandchildren’s games. A proud grandpa—and now great-grandpa—Pat has attended nearly every football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball game his family has played.
In 2014, Pat’s commitment grew even further when he began volunteering at every football and basketball game. From helping with pre-game setup to taking tickets during the games, Pat has generously given his time and energy to support our students and programs.
Pat is a valued and respected member of the Syracuse community. Even when his grandchildren were no longer attending the school, he continued to volunteer, believing strongly in giving back and staying involved. His selflessness, dedication, and example inspire all who know him, and we are deeply grateful for everything he does. Pat truly represents the best of what it means to be a Titan.
