State Art Competition Students

Congratulations to our art students! The effort they put into these pieces that were juried into the 54th Annual Utah All-State High School Art Competition was incredibly impressive.

Out of 1,073 submissions, only 352 were selected to be displayed. Syracuse High School had the second most entries accepted out of all the schools in the district, and the most awards given of all the schools in the district.

The artists/students who had their work juried into the show and had their work on display were:
Emily Davis, Lilly Oldham, Sadie Kotter, Lexi Reese, Helena Caruso-Toman, Arwyn Sadler.

Lexi Reese  Girl Who Is Seen, has been chosen for the following FOUR awards
Award of Merit Artist Nosh Award Lyon Art Studio Award – Workshop Scholarship Visual Art Institute Scholarship
Helena Caruso-Toman Self-Portrait, received an  Honorable Mention — Utah Senate Visual Arts Award

Both Lexi and Helena were invited the award ceremony at the Springville Art Museum as well the State Capitol in Salt Lake City to be recognized and meet State Officials.
